Where to bar crawl before a Vikings game in Minneapolis

Because you don't want to have to pay U.S. Bank Stadium prices.
Publish date:

We don't know about you, but we get pretty annoyed arriving at U.S. Bank Stadium for a Vikings game or concert and finding it costs $10-$15 to get a beer.

As such, if you do want to watch the game with a bit of a buzz without it costing you a small fortune, it's worth checking out some of the offers in downtown Minneapolis before you get into the stadium.

What makes it difficult is that unless the Vikings are on primetime, their home games start off at noon, somewhat limiting your options and time to get some good deals.

But we've found four spots that you could drop into on your way to the game, all of which are within walking distance of a light rail stop.

It starts off with Cowboy Jack's – although because it opens at 10 a.m. you might want to skip ahead to "Stop 2" if you're planning to pre-game for several hours.

Check it out – and you'll find more details of the drinks offers we found below this map.

Stop 1: Cowboy Jack's

Where to find it: 126 North 5th Street.

Hours: Opens from 10 a.m.
