If you're looking to eat at some of the Twin Cities' best restaurants without it costing you a bundle, this is the week to do it.

The Mpls.St.Paul Magazine Restaurant Week got underway on Sunday and will continue until this Friday, Feb. 23.

More than 40 restaurants are participating, offering two or three course, fixed-price menus ranging from $10 to $35 per person (not including drinks, tax and tip).

The event is being run in association with OpenTable, which has a full list of the restaurants participating and time slots for bookings.

You can find the fixed-price menus for each restaurant here on the Mpls.St.Paul Magazine site.

We've picked out some of the best on offer in the Twin Cities.

Cafe Lurcat, Loring Park

The restaurant is known for its scintillating miso sea bass but it's a pricey place to eat. This week it's offering three courses for $35, with entree choices including a hanger steak, Korean salmon and pork tenderloin.

The Capital Grille, downtown Minneapolis

Ranked the No. 1 restaurant in Minneapolis on TripAdvisor, the Hennepin Avenue restaurant is offering $25 lunch and $35 dinner three-course menus.

Its signature cheeseburger is among the lunch choices, while a 14oz-bone-in strip steak (which usually costs $48) features on the dinner menu.

The St. Paul Grill, downtown St. Paul

The best restaurant in St. Paul on TripAdvisor, you can save some money eating there this week with its $20 two-course lunch and $35 three-course dinner menus.

Its pared-down lunch menu doesn't actually seem that great a deal – the $35 three-course dinner seems a better bet, including among its entrees a rotisserie chicken carrying a regular menu price of $24.95.

Citizen, downtown St. Paul

This gets props for offering a 4-course lunch for $15 this week, which includes a soup, a salad, a small plate of sandwiches and a mini dessert.

Its $25, three-course dinner isn't bad either, with crab cakes among the apps and herb-roasted chicken among the entrees.

Rodizio Grill, Maple Grove

The Brazilian steakhouse which is part-self-service, part gaucho-style is offering its dinner menu for $30 per head this week – a discount on the $38.99 it usually is.

Not only that, it's running "Bacon Fest" in honor of Restaurant Week – check out its special menu here.
