1 dead, 1 arrested after shooting in Maple Grove

The relationship between the victim and person in custody is unknown.

Police have arrested one person believed to be connected to a fatal shooting that happened in Maple Grove. 

The shooting was reported just after 7 p.m. Sunday in the 11800 block of 80th Avenue North. Maple Grove police officers arrived at the scene and found one adult who was pronounced dead, and another individual who was taken into custody. 

"This is an isolated incident with no threat to the community," Maple Grove Police Department said in a release. 

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing and the identities of the victim and person in custody have not been released.
