1 dead, 1 wounded in domestic shooting west of the Twin Cities

Authorities 50 miles west of the Twin Cities are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead and a man injured. 

The shooting at a residence on 207th Street east of Silver Lake was reported just after 11:15 a.m. Sunday, with the McLeod County Sheriff's Office reporting that a male was shot and the suspect was found dead inside the house. 

The Star Tribune, citing dispatch audio, reports that it was an attempted murder-suicide, with the shooting victim's wife found dead of knife wounds in a bathtub. 

This has yet to be confirmed by an official source, however.

The man was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was in stable condition, the sheriff's office said. 

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
