One person was killed and two others were airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital after being shot in the central Minnesota town of Long Prairie early Sunday morning.
According to the Todd County Sheriff's Office, police responded to reports of gunfire at a home the 500 block of Southeast 2nd Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Police arrived and located a man in the yard who had been shot to death.
A second gunshot victim was taken to Long Prairie Hospital and then airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital, as was a third victim who arrived at Long Prairie Hospital via private transport.
The condition of the two victims who were airlifted to St. Cloud is unknown.
A motive for the shooting was not provided in the press release and the sheriff's office did not say if anyone has been arrested.
The Todd County Sheriff's Office is being assisted in the investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Long Prairie police.
