One person died and two others were injured in a rollover crash near Faribault on Sunday morning.

The State Patrol says three men were traveling together in a Ford pickup northbound on Interstate 35 around 8 a.m. when the driver lost control, went through the median, rolled and came to a rest in the southbound lanes of I-35.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Adam F. Zazzardi, of Burnsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the State Patrol.

The driver, a 21-year-old from Columbia Heights, and another passenger, a 43-year-old Blaine man, suffered non-critical injuries and were transported to North Memorial Health Hospital for care.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash and alcohol was not involved.
