One person died and two others escaped a house fire in Long Lake late Sunday night.
According to Long Lake Fire Department, the fire was reported around 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of Willow Drive North. When firefighters arrived, three people were trapped inside the home on the second floor.
Two people escaped and were treated for minor injuries at the scene, but a man did not make it out. Fire crews recovered his body inside on the second floor of the home.
The victim's identity has not been released.
No further information is currently available.
In 2019, there were 42 fire deaths in Minnesota, compared to 37 year before and 62 in 2017, according to the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office.
