1 dead, 5 injured in western Wisconsin house fire

Multiple medical helicopters helped transport victims to hospitals.

A house fire in western Wisconsin Sunday afternoon left one person dead and five others injured. 

The fire was reported to the Dunn County 911 Center just prior to 1 p.m., with numerous fire and ambulance services, including two medical helicopters, dispatched to the scene in Spring Brook Township.

There were six people inside the home at the time fo the fire. A man did not make it out and was declared dead, while five others – a woman and four children – were taken to different hospitals for thermal injuries and lacerations. 

The identities of the victims have not been released and the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal, Dunn County Sheriff's Office and the Dunn County Medical Examiner's Office.
