A young man is dead and six more were injured after being shot outside a Thai restaurant in the northern Twin Cities overnight.

Police were called to reports that multiple shots had been fired and multiple victims shot in the parking lot of the Dala Thai Restaurant and Banquet Hall at 8407 Plaza Blvd. in Spring Lake Park just after midnight Sunday.

It sparked a huge emergency response, with police, fire, and ambulances responding to the scene.

A 19-year-old man from St. Paul was found dead at the scene.

Three more victims were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, two others to North Memorial in Robbinsdale, and one to St. John's Hospital in Maplewood.

At this stage, the Anoka County Sheriff's Department says there are no suspects in custody but doesn't believe there's ongoing danger to the public.

It's not clear how many shooters were involved, with the investigation continuing.
