1 dead after car, pickup collide in southeast Minnesota

One person was killed in a crash involving a Honda Accord and a Ford F-150 Sunday evening in southeast Minnesota. 

The crash happened on Hwy. 76 at mile marker 27 in Money Creek Township around 6:45 p.m., with the Minnesota State Patrol reporting that the driver of the 2001 Hondar was southbound on the highway and collided with the northbound F-150. 

A 26-year-old man from Spring Grove, Minnesota, who was driving the Honda died in the crash. He has been identified as Casey Daniel Knutson. 

The driver of the pickup, a 69-year-old Winona man, was transported to Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse with non-life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt, the State Patrol said. 

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
