1 dead after car vaults over driveway and crashes into tree in central Minnesota

The crash happened Thursday morning on a Toddy County highway.

A 40-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle crash in central Minnesota Thursday morning. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened around 8:15 a.m. on Hwy. 71 north of Akley Drive in Kandota Township, which is about five miles north of Sauk Centre in Todd County. 

The crash report says the woman was driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 south on the highway when she left the road, vaulted over a driveway and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Authorities have identified her as Nicole L. Schloegl-Bartkowicz, of Sauk Centre.
