1 dead after overnight shooting in north Minneapolis

Police responding to a shots fired call just before 1 a.m. Saturday arrived at the scene to find a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. 

Lifesaving efforts were performed by the responding officers and paramedics who arrived a short time later, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released, but police have confirmed that he was in his 30s. 

The shots were reported via ShotSpotter in the 3900 block of Humboldt Ave. N., with the initial alert followed by multiple 911 calls reporting the gunfire. 

The victim was found outside on the block. 

A homicide investigation is underway and police have canvassed the scene and interviewed people who may have seen or heard something. 

No arrests have been made.
