1 dead after Thursday afternoon shooting in north Minneapolis

Minneapolis police are investigating a deadly shooting Thursday afternoon on the city's North Side. 

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 2:48 p.m. in the area of N. 21st Ave. and N. 4th St. – just west of Interstate 94 – and on arrival they found a victim who was critically injured in the shooting. 

The man was transported to a hospital but did not survive, police said. 

Responding officers did arrest one person who was running from the scene. 

No further information has been released.
