1 dead in early Wednesday crash on Interstate 694

The 28-year-old driver was not wearing a seatbelt, the State Patrol said.

The driver involved in a single-vehicle crash died early Wednesday morning in the Twin Cities. 

According to the State Patrol, a 28-year-old Maple Grove man was driving a 2008 Chevy Malibu eastbound on Interstate 694 when he went off the roadway into the median and rolled. The crash happened just before 6 a.m., just east of Century Avenue, near Highway 36. 

The driver, who has not been identified, was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the crash report. 

No further information has been released.
