1 dead in head-on crash with semi in southern Minnesota
A head-on crash in southern Minnesota just after 11 a.m. Friday resulted in the death of a young woman.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that the head-on collision happened in Selma Township when the driver of a 2006 Ford Expedition crossed the centerline on Hwy. 30 and was struck by an eastbound semi.
Dead at the scene was 24-year-old Amanda Lynn Walker, of Longmont, Colorado, according to the State Patrol.
Walker was not wearing a seat belt, the crash report says.
A 48-year-old Chandler, Minnesota man driving the semi did not suffer any injuries.
