1 dead in single-vehicle crash in Kandiyohi County
A single-vehicle crash in Kandiyohi County left one person dead on Monday, according to the sheriff's department.
Per a release, the driver of a 1997 Ford Ranger went off the roadway from County Road 4 and struck a tree. The crash happened around 11:55 a.m. on the 1000 block of County Road 4 in Gennessee Township – a few miles southwest of Atwater.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified by the sheriff's office as 61-year-old Jeffrey Isdal, of Willmar.
The crash is under investigation.
There have been 100 deaths on Minnesota roads so far in 2020. At the same point last year, there were 81 fatalities, according to the state's Office of Traffic Safety.
