1 man dies in stabbing, another dies in separate shooting in Minneapolis

One person has been arrested in connection to the shooting.

A man died from an apparent stab wound in a Minneapolis early Friday morning, while another person died from a gunshot wound in a separate incident on Thursday night.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, a stabbing was reported on the 2000 block of Queen Avenue North at 3:57 a.m. on Friday. 

When officers arrived, they found a man inside a home suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital, where he died a "short time later," police said. 

The victim's identity will be released in the coming days. 

It's not known what led to the stabbing, police said. No other victims or suspects were found at the scene and no one has been arrested.

Fatal shooting, 1 arrested

According to MPD, police responded a little after 10 p.m. Thursday to the 400 block of 33rd Avenue North on a report of a shooting.

Police found a man dead with a gunshot wound inside the home. Another man was taken into custody and a gun was recovered from the area. 

Officials believe there's no ongoing threat to the public. 

The medical examiner will release the victim's name and details on how he died.
