1 killed, 1 hurt in downtown Rochester shooting
One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a shooting in downtown Rochester over the weekend.
An on-duty Rochester police officer witnessed the shooting at 2:30 a.m. on June 6 at the corner of First Avenue Southwest and Third Street Southwest, police said.
A 28-year-old Rochester man died at the scene and another man, also 28, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The officer who witnessed the shooting ran after one of the shooters and arrested him after a "brief foot chase," police said. A second shooter was arrested a short time later.
Police say there are no more suspects.
