A woman was killed and five other people were seriously injured late Friday when a car ran through a stop sign, striking another vehicle.

The crash was in Meeker County, west of the Twin Cities, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The driver, Noelle Pridgen, 28, of Florida, was driving a Dodge Charger south on County Road 14 when she went through a stop sign at 11:38 p.m., and struck a Dodge Magnum, driven by Billy Crottier, 35, of Litchfield.

Crottier and his two children, Zachary, 7, and Alexis, 3, were all seriously injured.

The death was from the same car, but the name has not been released.

Pridgen and her passenger, Tamya Hill, 20, of Maine, also were seriously injured.

It is unknown if Pridgen and Hill were under the influence, but Billy Crottier did not have alcohol in his system.

Alexis was taken to the Meeker County Hospital in Litchfield while all the other injuries were treated at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
