1 man dead, 2 injured in shooting at Bloomington apartment complex
A man was found dead in an apartment after Bloomington police responded to reports of gunshots in the area.
According to the Bloomington Police Department, just after 5:30 a.m. Monday police responded to the area of 6800 W Old Shakopee Road after receiving multiple calls regarding gunshots in the area.
Police found two men with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. One man was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The other was treated at the scene and was arrested.
Information obtained at the scene and from callers led police to an apartment within the Hampshire Hill Apartment complex, where they found the body of a man. Police did not say how the man died.
The incident is under investigation, but police say they believe everyone involved has been accounted for.
The Hennepin County Crime Lab is processing "multiple locations" within the Hampshire Hill Apartment complex, police said.
