1 missing after fire at Maple Grove commercial building
One person is unaccounted for after a fire destroyed a commercial storage facility in Maple Grove Tuesday night, according to reports.
The fire started at Hanson Implement and Storage off Bass Lake Road and Highway 101 around 6:10 p.m.
Initial reports said three people were still inside the building, FOX 9 reports. When firefighters arrived, two people had gotten out of the building, but one remained missing.
Crews went into the building to search for the possible missing person, but they had to stop because the fire was spreading quickly, WCCO says.
One person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries and the other was treated onsite for their injuries. The third person has been declared missing, KARE 11 notes.
The Maple Grove Fire Department extinguished much of the fire, but was still putting out hot spots, reports note. Crews will bring in heavy equipment to remove debris and search the area, KARE adds.
The building is said to be a complete loss. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
