One person was found dead inside a burning vehicle in St. Paul on Friday night. 

According to the St. Paul Police Department, a vehicle fire in the 100 block of Edmund Avenue West was reported around 7 p.m. Friday.

After the St. Paul Fire Department doused the fire they found one person dead inside

KSTP reports that residents at a nearby apartment complex heard loud booms and that a bomb squad unit later surveyed the vehicle.

Police are investigating what caused the fire, while the victim will be identified by the medical examiner's office.
