1 sent to the hospital after RV fire at St. Paul homeless encampment

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A recreational vehicle (RV) that was parked in a homeless encampment in St. Paul started on fire Monday morning. 

The St. Paul Fire Department responded to the encampment near the 2100 block of Gilbert Avenue, near Interstate 94, at 4:51 a.m. to find the RV on fire, a spokesperson told Bring Me The News. Firefighters extinguished the fire and adjacent combustibles.

No injuries were reported, but a man in his 50s who was in the RV was taken to the hospital for evaluation. 

The cause of the fire hasn't been reported, but it is under investigation.
