At a recent high school cross-country meet, Blaine High School runner Tom Anderson ruined his shot at a personal record when he stopped to help a fallen competitor. It might have been just a simple unnoticed moment of generosity, but school yearbook photographer Ally Anderson snapped several images that drew attention to the power of a simple act of kindness.

ABC Newspapers has the story of how Ally came to shoot the images, which caught the attention of Runner's World magazine, which posted it to Facebook and got more than 200 likes (below).
