11 charged in drug trafficking conspiracies in Red Lake

Two groups of people are accused of distributing illegal drugs, including methamphetamines and fentanyl, in northern Minnesota. 

U.S. Attorney Erica MacDonald announced Thursday two separate federal indictments against 11 people in connection to parallel methamphetamine and fentanyl distribution conspiracies on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.

Court documents, according to a news release, say that between August and December of 2019, seven people – Kyle Dale Clark, 29, residence unknown; Jose Arcega-Vejar, 32, of Baja, Mexico; Valerie Ann Clark, 51, of Redby; Vanessa Louise Cobenais, 31, of Bemidji; Kathi Lyn Dudley, 42, of Redby; Drew Williams Graves, 32, residence unknown; and Kalyssa Kailani Deanah White, 19, of Red Lake – conspired together to distribute meth on the reservation and surrounding area. 

And between April 15-22 of this year, White and Arcega-Vejar are accused of conspiring with three others – David Alan Jourdain, 38, of Red Lake; Tara Mae Lussier, 20, of Red Lake; and Andrew James Neadeau, 28, of Red Lake – to distribute fentanyl in the same area. 

Meanwhile, Clark is accused of illegally possessing a a Glock model 26gen5, 9mm pistol – he's prohibited from having a firearm – and Corey Lee Donnell, 28, of Redby, is accused of illegally selling it to him. 

Here is what each person has been charged with:

  • Kyle Dale Clark: conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and felon in possession of a firearm
  • Jose Arcega-Vejar: conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and conspiracy to distribute fentanyl
  • Valerie Ann Clark: conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
  • Vanessa Louise Cobenais: conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
  • Kathi Lyn Dudly: conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
  • Corey Lee Donnell: sale or transfer of a firearm to a prohibited person
  • Drew William Graves: conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
  • Kalyssa Kailani Deanah White: conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and conspiracy to distribute fentanyl
  • David Alan Jourdain: conspiracy to distribute fentanyl
  • Tara Mae Lussier: conspiracy to distribute fentanyl
  • Andrew James Neadeau: conspiracy to distribute fentanyl
