Police are asking for the public's help in the search for a young boy who went missing north of the Twin Cities this weekend.

The Blaine Police Department is trying to find 12-year-old Dylan Niesen, who is missing or a possible runaway, the department said in a news release Sunday afternoon.

He was last seen on Saturday morning around 10 a.m., riding his bike in the area of 128th and Fillmore St. NE, the release says.

Niesen is described as five feet tall and 110 pounds with a "husky" build, brown eyes, and brown hair that's short on the sides and longer on top.

His bike is a black, "BMX style" Mongoose with foot pegs extending from the wheels.

Niesen also has black and white braces on his teeth, the release says. No clothing description is available at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call911 and reference BPD case number 17-221578.
