The 59th homicide of 2020 in Minneapolis happened Monday afternoon on the city's North Side when a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot. 

According to Minneapolis PD, the 17-year-old was in a group outside a convenience store (Super USA) on the 3800 block of Fremont Avenue when a gunman opened fire. The teen was transported to a nearby hospital but did not survive. 

A second victim, an unidentified man, suffered serious injuries in the shooting. 

The identity of the 17-year-old has not been released. 

No arrests have been announced and an investigation is ongoing.
