An 18-year-old male is dead after an apparent fall from a dorm room at Bemidji State University.
Bemidji Police Department says officers responded to Tamarack Hall on BSU's campus around 12:30 a.m. Sunday and found the 18-year-old male bleeding. Police suspect that he fell from a high elevation.
Life-saving efforts were attempted but the teenager was pronounced dead.
Police have confirmed that the victim was a visitor on campus and not enrolled at BSU.
Investigators are interviewing possible witnesses to determine how he fell to his death and anyone with information is asked to call 218-333-9111.
His identity is being kept private pending an autopsy by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
According to BSU's website, Tamarack Hall is 12 stories high – the tallest building on campus.
