18-year-old woman dies in crash involving bread truck near Bemidji

An 18-year-old driver died in crash involving a bread truck Friday morning in northern Minnesota. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash was reported just after 6 a.m. on the south side of Bemidji, as a 2002 Ford Explorer traveling westbound on Carr Lake Road SE collided with a 2012 Ford bread truck that was headed north on Hwy. 197. 

The collision happened at the intersection of the two roads, the State Patrol says. 

The driver of the Explorer, 18-year-old Dalila M. Raisch, of Redby, Minnesota, was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji where she died from her injuries. 

A passenger in the Explorer, a 19-year-old man from Redby, and the 38-year-old Bemidji man driving the bread truck, were taken to Sanford Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Further details about the crash were not available as of Friday night.
