A 19-year-old was struck and killed after stepping onto a highway just north of the Twin Cities.
The crash happened just before 1:15 a.m. Monday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol, at Highway 169 and 273rd near Zimmerman, Minnesota.
The State Patrol said Joshua Theodore William Bartlett, of Princeton, walked out of the median and into the left lane of the northbound side of the highway.
Bartlett was then struck by a northbound Chevy Impala being driven by another 19-year-old. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The State Patrol said alcohol does not appear to be a factor. The driver of the Impala was not injured.
