The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin as a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow moves across the Upper Midwest on Sunday, WCCO reports.

A Minnesota Department of Transportation spokeswoman told the Associated Press Sunday morning that icy conditions are already making travel difficult near Mankato and all along Interstate 90. Click here, for the latest road conditions.

KTTC in Rochester, Minn., says ice accumulation of 1/4 inch or more is possible and continued freezing drizzle could make Monday morning's commute dicey.

A winter weather advisory is also issued for part of the Twin Cities metro area where slippery roads are likely, KARE 11 reports.

KSTP says snow totals of one to two inches are possible by the early evening along with some accumulation of ice.

A freezing rain advisory is also in effect for southwestern Minnesota.
