A St. Charles mayoral candidate will remain on the ballot despite two felony drug convictions. Stephen Thomas Conlin will be sentenced in December after a jury found him guilty of third-degree marijuana sale and fifth-degree possession of marijuana last week. Police looking for car in lake get '2-for-1'
Authorities on Tuesday who were searching for a suspected stolen BMW in Loeb Lake in St. Paul found the car -- along with a second submerged vehicle. Crews were preparing to tow both cars out of the water. It's believed no one was in the BMW went it went into the water Tuesday morning. Police are looking for two men seen running from the scene.
St. Paul police chief suspends crime lab drug testing
Drug testing is being temporarily suspended in the St. Paul Police Department crime lab, MPR reports. The action comes after a Dakota County court hearing this week when two crime lab workers and the director of the lab said the lab does not follow any written procedures for drug testing and does not document most of the steps they take when testing evidence for illegal drugs.
Dad arrested for DWI after son, 5, knocks on door asking for help
