Two people in a car died in a crash that saw them broadsided a vehicle that had the right-of-way, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
According to the crash report, a family of four from Webster City, Iowa, was traveling northbound on Highway 10 in Little Falls Township when the driver of a Buick Encore attempted to cross the highway going eastbound from the median at 113th Street.
The Buick was struck on the passenger side by the front end of the Iowa family's Lincoln Navigator.
Killed in the crash were the female driver and male passenger in the Buick. They have been identified by the State Patrol as 85-year-old Margaret Caroline Schmitz and 46-year-old Loren Michael Schmitz, both of Pierz.
The four people in the Navigator, a 37-year-old man, 38-year-old woman and two boys, ages 11 and 9, all suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
The crash happened at approximately 10:49 a.m. Saturday.
