2 dead after semi and car collide in southwest Minnesota

Two people are dead following a crash involving a car and semi in southwest Minnesota Thursday afternoon. 

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 13 and Hwy. 68 in Three Lakes Township, Redwood County. The Minnesota State Patrol reports that a 2004 Mercury Sable was northbound on County Road 13 when it collided a semi headed west on Hwy. 68. 

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the Mercury Sable has been identified as 18-year-old Kaden Michael Reusch, of Holdingford, Minnesota. 

The semi driver has been identified as 38-year-old Erik William Welter, of Morgan, Minnesota. 

The crash report says it is "unknown" if either driver was wearing a seat belt, nor is it known if alcohol factored in the crash.
