2 dead in Spring Lake Park house fire, State Fire Marshal investigating

Two people are dead following a house fire in Spring Lake Park. 

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, firefighters and Spring Lake Park Police Department were dispatched to a house fire in the 500 block of 82nd Ave. NE at 8:51 p.m. Saturday. 

The fire, which was reported by neighbors, had fully engulfed the garage and spread to the house by the time first responders arrived. 

After the blaze was doused, two people were found dead inside the home. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of family members. 

The cause of the fire is being investigated by Spring Lake Park Police Department, SBM Fire Department, the State Fire Marshall, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
