Two good Samaritans helped save a woman near Rochester Sunday night after she crashed her car into Silver Lake, the Rochester Post-Bulletin reports.

Authorities say Benjamin Temple, of Nofolk, Neb., and Archie Langdon, of Rochester, waded into the water after the driver left the roadway on West Silver Lake Drive at 5:30 p.m. and crashed into the lake.

Temple who was walking on a trail, witnessed the crash, and Langdon, who worked at a nearby boat and rental business, heard the crash and rode his bike to the scene. The men helped get the half-submerged car unlocked and brought the woman to shore.

Police said the woman was not injured, but was being evaluated at the scene for a possible medical condition.

Rochester firefighters and police were also on the scene of the crash to investigate and provide the woman

Langdon told the Post-Bulletin that he was just remarking at work how it was a boring night until the crash happened.

"But this sure changed it," he said. "I'm glad she appears to be OK."
