Update: 2 homicide suspects on the run arrested in northern Minnesota
Police in northern Minnesota have arrested two homicide suspects from Colorado who were on the run and seen Monday morning in the Cass Lake area.
The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department released a statement Monday saying the two suspects, Matthew Jon Ogden and Phyllis Amy Wyatt, were arrested by tribal officers and the Cass County sheriff's office.
Earlier in the day the police department issued a statement asking for the public's help in locating Ogden and Wyatt, who were spotted earlier Monday in the Cass Lake area.
The two, from Parachute, Colorado, were wanted in connection with the death of their 4-week-old daughter, according to the Denver Post.
The infant was found unresponsive in the couple's apartment in Parachute on June 20, and died at a hospital a short time later.
Her death was ruled a homicide. Ogden is charged with murder, and both of them face child abuse charges, according to the Post.
Police in Parachute said they believed the couple could be in Minnesota.
