2 killed in crash with bus carrying Bethel volleyball team

Two people were killed in a crash involving a bus carrying the women's volleyball team from Minnesota's Bethel University.

The crash happened at 8:10 p.m. on County Road N in Rock County, Wisconsin, near the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

A Honda Civic driven by a 20-year-old woman crossed the center line and crashed into the charter bus carrying 19 members of the volleyball team, including students and coaches.

The driver of the Civic and the passenger, a 22-year-old man from Whitewater, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Office.

The 64-year-old driver of the bus and the volleyball team members were not injured in the collision.

The crash is being investigated by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
