2 men pulled from burning car after crash in Minneapolis
Two men are hospitalized after being rescued from a burning car that had crashed in north Minneapolis Sunday afternoon.
The men were involved in a single-car rollover crash at 2:42 p.m. in the area of 49th Avenue North and Bryant Avenue North, the Minneapolis Police Department said in a news release.
Police officers arrived to find the vehicle on fire and the two trapped inside. The Minneapolis Fire Department put out the flames and extricated the two men.
The men were brought to North Memorial Medical Center in "serious and critical condition," but are both expected to survive.
Police believe excessive speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash, but it is still under investigation.
The crash closed roads in the area and Metro Transit was told to re-route buses.
