2 people found dead after house fire in New Hope

The fire was reported just before 11 a.m. Thursday.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating after two people died in a house fire Thursday morning in New Hope. 

New Hope Police Department says firefighters from the West Metro Fire Rescue were sent to a fire in the 4600 block of Aquila Ave. just after 10:50 a.m. 

After dousing the flames, firefighters searched the home and found two people dead inside. Their identities have not been released and the cause of the fire is under investigation. 

The victims' identities and cause of death will be released at a later stage by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
