Update 2 p.m.

A person of interest is in custody after the bodies of a man and a woman were found at an Eden Prairie home Thursday morning.

Police investigating a possible double homicide at the home at 6770 Woodhill Trail say a 38-year-old man was apprehended in Buffalo, Minnesota at 11:19 a.m. and has been taken to Eden Prairie for questioning.

Eden Prairie PD say the man had a link to the victims "due to several prior 911 calls" to the residence over the past 10 years.

They are not looking for any other suspects in connection to the case.

Police in Eden Prairie are investigating a possible homicide after the bodies of a man and a woman were found at a home.

Eden Prairie PD said in a news release they were called to a residence in the 6000 block of Woodhill Trail at 7:21 a.m. to conduct a welfare check on a man who failed to report for work.

Once inside, they found the man and a woman both dead. Nobody else was in the house at the time.

Police have said they don't believe it was a random incident, but didn't say if they're looking for any suspects at this time.

The Hennepin County Crime Lab has been down at the scene assisting with the investigation, with the victims' identities and cause of death expected to be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office at a later time.

Homicides are not a common occurrence in Eden Prairie. According to city crime statistics, only four were reported in 2016, and just one in 2015.

FOX 9's Paul Blume was at the scene around noon, and there was still a lot of police activity.
