The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office is investigating the deaths of two people found inside their Big Lake home earlier this week.

According to a release, the bodies of Michael John Knox, 66, and Shirley Leaser Knox, 68, were found in their home on Adams Avenue Tuesday morning.

They were discovered by Big Lake police, who were conducting a welfare check at the request of a family member, who hadn't been able to contact them for "several days."

Autopsy results revealed there was no apparent trauma to either person, nor were there any signs of violence.

Their exact cause of death hasn't been released as toxicology results are pending.

The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office is leading the death investigation and there is no danger to the public.
