Two people are dead in what St. Paul police are describing as a murder-suicide.
It happened Saturday morning on the 1900 block of Montana Avenue East, where a man and a woman were found with what would prove to be fatal gunshot wounds:
According to FOX 9, police say the victim had been in a relationship with the suspect, with a department spokesperson adding, "I'd like to tell anybody who is in an abusive relationship that they're not alone. And we the police are here to help you."
As the investigation is still ongoing, police have not revealed many details yet, but per the Pioneer Press, officers had been called to the address 15 times over the past year for "domestic issues" as well as "disturbance and child-custody issues."
The identities of those involved will be released at a later time. This is St. Paul's eighth homicide so far this year.
