2 sentenced for selling grandma's morphine

He and Deeana Marie Crist, 26, who was sentenced to two years of probation, sold morphine during four drug buys monitored by Superior police in November and December, police said. Crist stole the drugs from her grandmother, police said, and they were either selling the morphine or trading it for marijuana.

Brandon DeMario Shaw was suspected in a car theft and refused orders to surrender, police say. As he fled, the dog attacked and the man attacked it back, the Superior Telegram reports.

Luke Anderson died Friday in a shootout with police in Superior. His death was similar to that of his older brother, who was killed in a police shootout six years ago after fleeing Minnesota for Alaska.

Her lawyer argues probation would be an appropriate sentence for Amy Senser, who is "deeply remorseful" about killing a many with her SUV last summer. Her vehicular homicide conviction could get Senser up to four years in prison when she's sentenced on Monday.
