2 shot, including a teen, after argument at St. Cloud gas station
An altercation at a gas station in St. Cloud erupted into a shootout, leaving one man and a teen with gunshot wounds.
It happened late Thursday night outside Go For It Gas on the 1000 block of 9th Avenue South, several blocks west of St. Cloud State University.
According to a release from the St. Cloud Police Department, the two parties involved had been in argument inside the gas station shortly before gunfire broke out.
Out in the parking lot, one party shot at the other from their car as they drove away from the scene, striking a 21-year-old man.
The release says a man who was with the 21-year-old then ran after the suspect vehicle, shooting at it and ultimately injuring the 16-year-old boy inside.
A short time later, both gunshot victims showed up at a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
Police subsequently located both suspected shooters, including the 32-year-old who was driving with the teen. BringMeTheNews does not name suspects until they have been formally charged with crimes.
Both men are now being held in the Stearns County Jail, while two handguns have been recovered, the release notes.
The shooting is now under active investigation. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact St. Cloud police at 320-251-1200 or submit a tip at Tri-County Crime Stoppers of Minnesota.
