2 St. Paul streets being temporarily renamed in honor of Springsteen
The City of St. Paul is taking a metaphorical wrecking ball to the names of a couple local streets in celebration of Bruce Springsteen's upcoming concerts at Xcel Energy Center, City Pages reported.
St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman Monday declared Nov. 9-12 "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Weekend in Saint Paul," which includes the renaming of two local streets in honor of The Boss.
Kellogg Blvd. will be renamed Springsteen Rd. and West 7th St. will be renamed E Street for the weekend of the performances, according to a press release.
Springsteen's "Wrecking Ball" tour stops in St. Paul Sunday and Monday.
Springsteen has been busy raising funds for Hurricane Sandy victims and stumping for President Barack Obama. On Monday he joined Obama in Madison, Wis., for one last rally before Election Day.
