Two people who are believed to have been involved in a shooting at a parking ramp at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital earlier this month have been arrested.
The Edina Police Department says after "several investigative leads" police located the vehicle believed to have been involved in the Sept. 14 incident and arrested two people on Sunday, Sept. 27, at a hotel in Bloomington.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on probable cause second-degree attempted murder and a 50-year-old was arrested on probable cause aiding and abetting. Both suspects are at the Hennepin County Jail. They have not been formally charged.
On Sept. 14, Edina police responded to a report of a shooting on the second floor of the parking ramp at 65th Street and France Avenue at 8:54 p.m., at which point the hospital was locked down. A 45-year-old man, who was later identified by media as a doctor who lives in Eagan, was shot in the head during an attempted robbery. He was treated at the hospital and then released.
