The Freeborn County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash involving a boat and a jet ski in southern Minnesota.

According to a news release, the collision on the water of Fountain Lake happened at approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday, with a 2001 Kawasaki jet ski colliding with a 1996 Gekko runabout boat.

The driver of the boat told police that he did not see the jet ski. The two female passengers on the jet ski were thrown into the water when the boat hit them.
