2-vehicle crash leaves 1 dead in north Minneapolis Wednesday night

The collision happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

One person is dead following a Wednesday night crash in north Minneapolis. 

Police say the crash happened around 9 p.m. when a car headed north on Washington Ave. began to turn left onto North Dowling Ave. when it was struck by an oncoming vehicle. 

Minneapolis police believe the car traveling south on Washington was struck by the turning people. The female driver of the southbound car was pronounced dead at the scene while two people in the vehicle that made the turn were not injured. 

Both are cooperating with police. 

The identity of the woman killed in the crash has not been released. 

No further information is available.
