The body of a girl found in Steele County, Minnesota is believed to be that of missing Milwaukee 2-year-old Noelani Robinson.
Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales said that a body was found wrapped in a blanket in a ditch on Hwy. 218 near Austin on Friday night.
They believe it's that of Noelani Robinson, who was allegedly abducted by her father on Monday, sparking an Amber Alert.
Higgins, who is suspected of killing Robinson's mother, was arrested on Wednesday, two days after she went missing.
Police say the 2-year-old's death did not happen within the last 24 hours, consistent with the timeline of Higgins' movements.
It was reported earlier this week that police in Milwaukee had been investigating tips that Robinson may have been taken to Minnesota after she was abducted.
